Microchip Event Announced
Coming March 21st & 22nd, (Saturday/Sunday), Advanced Care is
hosting its 1st Micro Chiping Event. At 9am, Noon and 3pm there will be
a brief 15 to 30 minute educational session discussing the features and
benefits of microchipping your cat or dog.If you bring your pet to be microchipped it will qualify for a special discount on the implant. Call 320.257.0911 for additional information!

Advanced Care Pet Hospital Selected for
Central MN Region SBDC Yearbook Profile
Last week, Barry Kirchoff, Director of the Central MN Region of the Small Business Development Center (Right) and Jack Gabler, Business Consultant (Left) visited Advanced Care to take pictures for the Minnesota Small Business Development Centers (SBDC) 2009 Annual Report.
The MN SBDC is a division of the MN Department of Employment and Economic Development charged with assisting small businesses start or expand.
The Annual Report gives readers highlights of the SBDC's economic benefits and demonstrates how it helps businesses by featuring one business to profile from each of the SBDC's 12 statewide regions.
The Central Region of the SBDC helped hundreds of businesses in and around the St. Cloud Metropolitian and outlying area. Of those, the story of the SBDC assistance to Advanced Care Pet Hospital's start up planning and opening was chosen as the profile for the Central Region. Consultant Jack Gabler worked closely with Pamela and Tom Gerds in site selection and business financial planning and helped guide the new business owners move from idea to open doors in just under 9 months.

On Saturday the 20th, we met with the community at the Sartell Community Showcase at the Sartell Middle School.
The event was well attended and festive with booths, kids activities, entertainment.
Considering how much candy was consumed by the kids, I imagine some of them are still coming down off the sugar buzz.

Microchip Information Page Uploaded
Advanced Care uploaded an informational page on Micro Chipping your Pet.Despite it being National Pet Dental Wellness Month, and no one has taken us up on our Ground Hog Dental Cleaning Special yet, we put together a brief informational page on microchip implants for pets.
There is also a link to the AVMA's frequently asked question page on microchips.

Rescue Dogs Receive Dentals Today at Advanced Care
Bart (pictured above) and Suzie (pictured below) were welcomed into Advanced Care for dental care today. Carrie from the Humane Society brought them by this morning.
Bart and Suzie were part of the over 50 animals rescued from a rural puppy mill earlier this week. Dr Gerds will provide a foster home for Suzie until she is ready for her spay. Both received dental cleanings today.

Tom Templin, Bank Vista, Jeff Sailer, Sailer Family Chiropractic and Nicholas Colatrella, PineCone Vision Center (taking the picture) visited Advanced Care today to welcome Dr. Gerds to the Sartell Community and the Sartell Chamber of Commerce.
Staff at Advanced Care has volunteered to help with clean up for this years Rockin Block Party, Tom Gerds volunteered to help with Sartell Chamber web site work and marketing. Advanced Care Pet Hospital has signed up for The Sartell Chamber of Commerce Community Showcase, Saturday February 20th from 9 am to 1 pm at the Sartell Middle School. We look forward to contributing to the efforts of the Sartell Chamber moving forward.
